EGG Cares:
Labels & Lids 4 Kids

Labels & Lids 4 Kids is the first project taken up by the EGG Cares program. This is a philanthropic program aimed at helping kids in less affluent neighborhoods.

What we are doing is relatively simple. Several companies offer programs to benefit schools. These companies allow schools to redeem labels and box tops in order to receive cash, or educational materials like computer software, books, and gym equipment. We ask our members to download the lists of eligible products, or pick them up at Comic Quest. Then, pay attention to the products you already buy at the grocery store. Clip the labels and box lids that are eligible, and leave them in the collection box at Comic Quest.

The labels and tops will be collected, sorted, and donated to Cedar Hall School. Cedar Hall is a public school, located in one of the lower income areas of Evansville. They participate in programs of this type in order to supplement their own funding. Since many of us don't have kids in schools participating in these programs ourselves, it certainly won't hurt us to help other kids. And it doesn't take much effort to remove the label from your soup can before you cook the soup, either.

We also encourage gamers in other areas to do their part as well! You can set up collections locally for your own schools, or send labels to us, if you don't have a group locally and you want to help.

To send us labels, please mail them to our snail address:
