All About EGG

|Did you Know? (Fun facts about EGG)|

The Evansville Gaming Guild is a club for people who enjoy table-top roleplaying games, board games, and miniature games. Players of collectible and non-collectible card games are also welcome. We meet at Comic Quest, on Morgan Avenue, in Evansville, Indiana. Our meetings are from 5:00pm-9:30pm CST every Saturday night.

EGG was established as an RPGA gaming club in 1986, and we've been going strong ever since. We've changed our look, and location, over the years, but we're still devoted to gaming in all its forms. We still run regular RPGA gamedays, but we also are open to run non-RPGA events. Our currently most-popular games include the RPGA Living Arcanis Campaign, Stargate, Dark Ages, and Dragonstar. We are an incorporated non-profit organization.

Please feel free to visit EGG at any of our meetings. We do our best to help visitors as well as our members, and answer any questions you may have. Your first two visits to our club are free. If you like our club, we ask that on your third visit, you purchase a membership with us.

EGG membership is $10 per year, and $.50 dues are collected each night. Funds are used to support EGG functions like our semi-annual parties and gamedays. Currently we sponsor the EGG Easter Party, Election Party, and Halloween/Hatching Party every year at Burdette Park. If the weather is warm, be prepared for Super-Soaker wargames, and of course there is always gaming, usually including an RPGA round or two. We also help to run all-night game-a-thons on Memorial Day and Labor Day weekends at Comic Quest.

The Evansville Gaming Guild is not currently sponsoring a local convention. EGG has sponsored conventions in the past, however. From 1986-2000 EGG sponsored Glathricon, and also provided gamemasters and convention support to Contact, a convention sponsored by ESFA (Evansville Science Fiction Association). Both were local conventions in the Evansville area. Both local conventions are currently defunct, though both organizations retain the initiative to bring them back at some future date.

EGG membership is open to persons 14 years of age and older. Members under 18 must have a permission slip on file with the Scribe, signed by a parent or legal guardian accompanying their membership. All members must sign a Code of Conduct at the time of their membership renewal. Members under the age of 18 must have a parent or legal guardian read and co-sign the Code of Conduct. Players under the age of 14 are welcome if accompanied by a parent or legal guardian that is a member of EGG.

EGG is administered by a Board of Directors, elected annually from among our members. Board members are required to be over the age of 18, except for Guildmaster, Scribe, and Treasurer, which must be over 21 years of age. Additionally, Board members must have been current paid members of EGG for a minimum of one year, and must participate in one fund-raising activity during each calendar year, as well as attend at least one Board meeting per fiscal quarter. For more details on our Board of Directors, and other policies, please read our Bylaws and Code of Conduct.
